Dans cette prise de son devant dater de 1962, rééditée en 1964 sur ce disque Bruno Hi-Fi Records BR 140063 L, Gennadi ROSCHDESTWENSKI dirige un orchestre nommé «Moscow National Symphony Orchestra» dont la nature exacte n'est pas claire:
"[...] The term "Moscow National Symphony Orchestra" often refers to historic recordings of the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra (founded 1943) or is an alternative English translation used in older catalogs for the USSR Symphony Orchestra. It should not be confused with the private Russian National Orchestra (RNO) or the Moscow Symphony Orchestra.

Historic Recordings: Vintage recordings, such as those featuring Sviatoslav Richter and Kyril Kondrashin, sometimes use the name "Moscow National Symphony Orchestra".

22 février 2026: Comme vient de le remarquer un fidèle visiteur de mon site - Christian - il pourrait en fait s'agir du «Moscow Radio Symphony Orchestra», l'actuel Orchestre symphonique Tchaïkovski de la Radio de Moscou, dont Gennadi Roschdestwenski fut le chef titulaire de 1961 à 1974.
